Don''t know if it''s adrenaline or the anti biotics but so far this week I have served up a chicken roast dinner, cheesy mash and sausages with the left over mash, chicken curry with the left over chicken and today we and I mean we made a chicken pie from the left over chicken and carrots. Tomorrow we are making jam tarts with the left over pastry! Time to call in the men in the white coats

Lovely to have time to experiment with your kids cooking and to find the dishes that will become family favourites! If and when you go back to work, don't feel stressed if it's sometimes fish fingers and chips though!!!I also found that DS was pretty compliant with food initially, but has since become much more picky, so the things I used to cook on adoption leave just don't work any more! Mind you, sausages in all their forms go down a treat here!

I must have wasted a huge amount of food and money in the first year DS was home, trying things out and throwing things away when he didn't like them. I am a bit more streamlined now, but being a domestic goddess takes more brainpower and organisation than I have available on a regular basis!
