HiWe are at the very start of the adoption process and our SW has asked us to review what type of disabilities we could cope with.We have done quite a bit of research but don''t feel that we know enough still. Does anyone have any advice on where we could get further information?
Have you looked on the adopters of children with disabilities boards? They give an insight into what we face & cope with everyday, but bear in mind they tend to be used when we have needs, so it is not an overall picture, just some of the general stuff & quite a bit of the extreme!other sources are organizations that deal with disability - Young Minds is a good one for mental health disabilities, but most physical disabilities have their own set of charities with informationall the bestl
