Hi just replied a minute ago while girls happily playing out, but lost it. We are taking part both girls fancied it when i spoke to them about it, there is also info for children on website. Researcher lovely girls loved her. Very interesting piece of research which might help many of us in the future. Found the psychological profile questionairre very interesting made me truly realise how different the girls are. Be interested to see what their assesments come out as. Certainly worth considering in my opinion. Love Tab x

I know that on the website they say that children with severe learning disabilities can't take part - but when I spoke to them (to check if my DS's LD's would count as 'severe' under their criteria), they were really great. Gave me some examples of the types of questions, so that you can see if your child would be able to understand the questions (they are not interested in whether the answer would be 'correct', just in whether the question is accesable)My DS has diagnoses ranging from moderate to severe LD's and has a 30 hours statement, but they are happy to include him in the study. They were extremely understanding, told me that they know that a great many adopted children will have some degree of LD, for a whole host of reasons, and that they wouldn't automatically discount children. So might be worth a phone call/email if you are interested in taking part.Sid x

I have taken part and it was fine. Both my children were seen, taking about 40 mins each. Whilst this happened I was interviewed about their background and behaviour. You do need to give a lot of detail but I think its a good thing if it produces some concrete results in terms of how our children are affected.

Hi2 of my children took part in this study. Last I heard anything was during the summer when we got an update newsletter saying they only needed a few more children to complete the research. The website does not look like it has been updated for a while.I was wondering if anyone else who took part has heard anything.
