I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has gone through or is going through the adoption process with Glasgow City Council's Families for Children.
I suspect that there is much to be gained from sharing experiences.
Hi, I am resident in Glasgow but chose not to go through the Council, I went with a charity instead. I started my home study late January 2020 and was approved at the beginning of July. In hindsight I am wondering if the Council would have been the better option as presently I am reliant on Link Maker only for a match whereas with the Council being the legal guardians of the children they have the opportunity of considering matches with their adopters before the child is required to be placed on Link Maker.
