Books for adopted teenagers

Finally, my AD has started to read books. Learning difficulties have for years made this too hard for her, but just when I had given up all hope AD had one of those unexpected development leaps... I can't tell you how delighted I've been to find her reading late at night when she should be asleep! I don't mind what AD reads, and she is into teenage romances. However, I'm keen to find some adoption-themed books that she might like. Have just given her 'Blood Family' which has some very difficult themes in it (domestic violence, alcoholism etc), but I like the identity-crisis that the teenage boy faces as a result of finding out about his birth father. Suspect that AD won't read this for a while, but would really appreciate any recommendations for fiction books that may be suitable for an adopted teenager.

My daughter has learning difficulties and virtually the only books she can read all the way through are Jacqueline Wilson ones

Mine loved: A Sea of Stars, Kate Maryon The War that Saved my Life, Kimberley Brubaker-Bradley The War I finally Won, Kimberley Brubaker-Bradley When Marnie was there, Joan Robinson The Ocean Within, VM Caldwell TWTSML, TWIFW and WMWT are enjoyable for an adult too. The others my girls read on their own, so I don't know what they are like. They loved them though.

This is from 8+, but includes many books that will still be enjoyable for an older reader. https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/110965.children_s_books_about_adoption_age_8

Many thanks for these suggestions. Fingers crossed that some of these capture AD's interest...
