Sending my love - you are in my thoughts and prayers. Do so hope that it might work for her to end up in the place you tried to get her into, or somewhere safe and of benefit. what a horrible situation for you all, though,Much love mtw xx

I haven't been on the boards for a while so just reading the posts. Sadly I do have experience but I'd rather not divulge all on the open boards. What I would say is that the Howard League for Penal Reform were brilliant and helped and supported us getting dd out of prison/young offenders institute and into the mental health system that we had been fighting for. Please pm me if you'd like more info. Thinking of you

I am incredibly sorry to hear this. It must be especially difficult to bear when you have been asking for a more secure placement for Blossom for so long. I hope the Howard League can help you to advocate for a humane way forward. I am absolutely ashamed of our child care system, that first refuses effective help then criminalises a CHILD!

To encourage you prayers.Today we've had just a little breakthrough. That dreadful finger pointing and rubbish service we've suffered from the local camhs has come to an End We've achieved forensic assessment today, which feels like a victory.

How awfully sad for you. In my bleakest moments, I see prison as the likely destination for my as! So hard to deal with all this.... keep strong.

Hi allUpdateSpent most of the last few days speaking to those who will defend blossom.Getting them the facts ReportsChroologiesEtcAlmost 40% of the lac under YOT have been adopted at some point apparentlyEven though the Howard league normally help post sentence they are going to try and help pre sentence for blossyYOT very familiar with the local authority buck passing.Getting reports done now ready for the trial.Want to get a break away if we canSo finishing as much as we can now.I feel utterly exhausted today. I've been unwell physically and I'm sure the stress has not helped.Mr pt is on his stress meds and gone up one and so is just about holding in there.I've had to tell partridge something about her going to court and that the people I'm emailing, writing to and speaking to are trying to stick up for her.

Just to say that all the work you are doing will absolutely and definitely make a difference. I have been told categorically that if it hadnt been for the work I did with the YOT, with AS's probation officer, and if it hadnt been for the collation of letters to the judge from family and friends, then my AS would def have got a custodial. The crime he committed can carry a long term. But with all the support and explanations, and reports, he got a long community order. Noone will do this but us parents.....us mums. All you do will help PT, and you are doing something amazing. Even if it doesnt keep your daughter out of prison, you know that you will have done all that is possible. But these judges are human too, and they have families, and most of them know that prisons do not help young troubled people, just make a bad situation worse in most cases. One thing we did was get a portfolio of letters to the judge from family and one good friend. There was even one from his birth mum. I could tell that the judge saw this as rather unique and unusual. He read them all too, and referred to them when summing up. Good good luck. I know this feels so scary. xx
