Some good news for once

Many of you have followed our journey on the difficult news thread . Our adult son was in ICU for 23 days and is still in hospital .what has amazed is that during that 5 weeks whilst he had been in hospital my husband work was shortlisted for the top architecture award and I have just come back from winning a major award for my work in the community We have had a tough few weeks visiting our son daily whilst keeping up with out jobs. Coping with days when our son was dismissive and argumentative when we visited when we felt like giving up on him but today he sent a text saying I looked like a million pounds and well done for my award !. But somehow our lives have managed to hold together the tension of his lifestyle that led to kidney value etc 2 of our sons brothers (through adoption) have visited him 2/3times a week . Amazing because when he is drinking he has been very challenging towards them. But they too have managed to hold on to the undamaged/ damaging brother and show him care So much to be thankful for Thank you for reading

Marvellous news. Now you must write a book to tell us all how it is done! You have a lot to balance with four children and two careers, grandchildren, etc. and you seem to do it very well. Congratulations.
