The National Autistic Society are calling for action on tick box assessments by Atos when vulnerable people apply for benefits they need. Channel 4ââ¬â¢s Dispatches: Britain on the sick, programme highlighted failings in the way that an assessment carried out by a company called Atos works for people with a disability. With only 15% of adults with autism in full time paid employment and a third without a job or benefits, we know that a significant number of adults with autism are being failed by a system, developed to support them. People with autism who donââ¬â¢t get adequate support often go on to develop more serious mental health problems that prove to be far more costly the public purse in the long-term. This needs to end. The National Autistic Society has launched a petition which will put pressure on Atos to to take action to solve these issues.Add your name by clicking or copying the link below into your internet browserhttp://e-activist.com/ea-action/action?ea.client.id=10&ea.campaign.id=15864Thanks
