HiBy stages do you mean the adoption process?Stage 1 is initial telephone enquiry, invitation to intro day or evening, first home visit, homework and invite and attendance of Adoptive Parents Training (APT)Stage 2 - Formal application, more homework, Police checks, references, medicals and then a social worker is appointed and then home study begins and hopefully ends a panel approval.The very new 2 stage system gives a time target of 2 months for stage 1 and 4 months for stage 2. I am currently in the middle of stage 2 but see no hope of reaching 4 month target.And within these stages they fail to mention a stage 3, which is waiting and being matched with a child.It does seem overwhelming but I have found breaking the stages down into little targets have really helped.Good luckG

HiActually the best thing is to have a look at the first4adoption website. Stage One is all the reference checks, medicals, first visit and a pre courseStage Two is everything else.Best of luck.
