No pleasing some people

As it''s a Friday, it''s dress down day in the office. The lady who sits behind me came in wearing a summery dress. When I turned round to check some data with the person who sits opposite her, I noticed that it was one of these trendy ones with a hole cut in back: not all the way down, but just down to the bra strap. And sticking up into the hole was the bra''s label.I never know what to do in these circumstances. To me, it''s an ugly look and I''d guess that she wouldn''t really want the label showing. But should I let her know, or how else should I handle it? It''s a dilemma that I''ve never been comfortable with.In the end I thought that I couldn''t really tell her without others overhearing, which might embarrass her in front of the whole office, so I decided to just poke it in for her. From her reaction, it seems that wasn''t the right solution.Fashion is something that bewilders me. Why something is "cool" when it looks cheap, nasty, uncomfortable or ugly is beyond me. Trousers drooping so low that you can''t walk properly being a prime example. But at least I know that there''s this thing with "designer labels". Obviously having a label showing is important these days, and I''d upset her by spoiling the look. And so I reached in and pulled it out again. And that''s when the HR department got involved.
