Hi we finally recived our PAR last week and was given a panel date.I rang the VA as oh could not get the day off due to him working in the emergency services and they have zero tolrance on booking days pff during the summer in summer So i told them they took i really well actually and said i could attend alome with my sw i wasnt sure at first but they assured me it would be fine But....... I have had nothing offical email, letter confirming location and time ect i sent a email this moring asking For details so i am not sure whats going on now mr fishwife says if it were not going ahead they would of said by now panel being only 9 days away

Oh and may i add a little peed off as we were told they were strictly no pannels in august or decemeber due to staffing issues and here we are booked into a august pannel

Hi Fishwife,I'm sure it will be fine, I've heard that letters with time etc don't get sent out until very late. My panel date is 4th Sep and I'm a singly so also facing it alone. My SW has been very reassuring about it all though. It's really not helpful having no idea re time of panel until letters are sent out either. I had a copy if my PAR last week but only a rough one. I had to get it back to my SW the next day, heard nothing and now she is on leave until the panel date. So I also feel a little unsure about if it will actually happen. Worst case scenario is we get on at next panel date though which I believe is just 3 weeks ahead. So many mixed emotions now the date is drawing closer hey!

Hi - we only received the official time/date a few days before....usually due to them ensuring they have all panel members/venue etc confirmed & no last minute changes. We knew where it would be as we'd already asked that earlier & although SW told us date we didn't know time until few days before & received actual letter about 3 days before.Try not to worry too much.....I know you've had long slog to this stage, but nearly there now xx
