Hi Does anyone have any experience of Halliwell Homes. They are supposed to run an intensive 24 hour therapy program. With the intention of my son coming home after 18 months. He's been there for 5 months and we have weekly phone contact and see him every 3 weeks. I was wondering if this was normal in a therapeutic placement.

Hello I would say yes. We didnât see Blossom for several weeks at the start then we began to see more of her. The idea is to give the child chance to make secondary attachments when they havenât got much of a primary attachment. How have you found it? We found it very hard to begin with. Awww thanks a lot. We find it more difficult as time goes on as he is starting to seem calmer and so want him home all the more

My friendâs adopted son is in a therapeutic residential placement - there are two phone calls a week, every third weekend home plus all the holidays - so sounds similar.
