Dear adopters,Anyone out there with a positive story to share about their child(ren)'s experiences at secondary school?Have they managed to turn things around after a difficult start? Are they lucky enough to have had an inspirational teacher who really understands them? Or has their headteacher embraced an attachment-aware approach? If so, then please let us know by emailing ---- EMAIL REDACTED ----Thanks,Adoption UK

I love my younger two’s secondary. Hugely positive but not mainstream. Well, in part but not entirely.

Having a positive experience at a school from 4 to 16 years. Again, not a mainstream school.

My dd goes to a fantastic nurturing mainstream secondary. In particular her head of year is wonderful. And so is the head. But she isn't the kind of adoptee who really struggles with school. Just needs a bit of tlc like many other non adopted children. No issues with her behaviour. So not sure it counts. There are other adopted children at the school - at least two we know of in her year.
