My goodness Createamum that sounds hard! Police can be very helpful in reading the riot act! Though of course it’s also very powerful to be able to call them - have you any idea why she did it? Did you check with the shop keeper about the violin? Sounds like he knows her so can you get him onside - so he knows what to do in certain circumstances - maybe give him a contact number too? And the pictures of serial killers - what is that about? Anything come up recently or does it link to a project or interest? All good material to discuss with the therapist - but very disconcerting when you don’t understand what’s behind it as it can make you feel so insecure and vulnerable not knowing what’s coming next - which doesn’t help your health of course! Hope today is better

Lummy, Createamum, you've got it tough. I agree with Safia that the Police are our friends and have been incredibly helpful and supportive during the difficult times with AD.

Now, how are the verifications going? Anyone managed to get verified by Link Maker so that I can private message you? Please do let me know.

K? Why do I always land on the difficult letters.

Createamum, Larsti wanted her love and best wishes to be sent on to you from beyond AUK. So I am doing that now.

Just hope things have settled down a bit now createamum. What a roller coaster!

Chick's Mum, the admins have altered the forum so now we can message each other without being verified. I havnt tried it out yet but crossing fingers it'll be working xx

Kind words my dear friends, thank you.

We were a bit bumpy last night but she settled at Guides and was easy to get to bed so I had some breathing space. I had a chat with my boss today he’s given my some extra leave hours so I can leave work early for the rest of the month. I took hike up on the offer today and had an hour at home before school pick up, it was lovely to just have a cup of tea and a Jaffa cake without a thousand questions being shouted at me.

Off to try the messaging thingy, whilst my dinner cooks.

Looks like either I'm an idiot (quite possible) or I can't PM you. I have looked and looked and can't see how to do it from your profile. However, because I am a sad old woman I might just scroll through the "verifieds" and see if I can find you there - shouldn't take too long; I'll see if I can spot you and then I can PM you from there. [Deep sigh at how difficult it all is].

Mum of Chick, that change hasn’t been made yet. It’s not you! Here’s the post about the change

Now I feel a bit better. I thought that I was losing it. Thanks Andy for letting me know that I haven't missed something. Just as well that I went to do something productive instead.

Any schedule for the change? Just to manage expectations, obviously.

Our development goes in blocks, and the one currently underway will be running for another couple of weeks. We have prioritised this change to be in the next block after that, and will be 3 or 4 weeks from now probably. We’ll do it as quickly as we can.

Pretty poor alphabet following today I’m afraid - downwards to J then upwards again! How strange! Createamum glad things are a bit better today and work are understanding - that sort of thing makes such a difference. Nice to hear news of a Larsti too - so many people have disappeared - some seem to pop in for a quick visit - some may well have different names or just be reading

Happyeater thanks for keeping us updated on the proposed changes that is reassuring when we’re struggling with the new system

Popping on to say hi!

Glad things slightly calmer Createamum. You deal with a lot of challenges brilliantly.

I am v confused about chat. I have been verified - which I only did so I could contact others - but when I tried to send a message to you createamum it said I had to be a member of adoption uk??

Too draining!

xxxx

Quite! Who knows which way we are going.

Let's try a science experiment Aboutyounow, shall we? I am a member of AUK. So if you have been verified then I should be able to PM you right now ... Shall we give it a go?

Createamum, stay strong and look after yourself. xx

Right now we’re back to interesting times, I caught Sticky shoplifting this Morning whilst we were out, I made her go back to the shop and pay for the goods.

We’re out this afternoon at a charity event, I am on the board so can’t really not go, she’s going to be stuck to my side all afternoon which is going to drive us both nutty.

well tonight and wine can’t come quickly enough.

So managed to login in again. Keep forgetting my details since I've changed them several times. Onset of dementia probably.......

Sorry to hear your troubles Createamum. Hope you have a good afternoon ...or evening at least. Does Sticky go to bed ok? I still lament the loss of guaranteed early bedtimes as some evenings become filled with stress of one kind or another, Makes life that bit harder.(Latest plot is to pay as little attention to dd2 as possible once the witching hour has arrived- it is working quite well but she is getting to sleep too late in my view.)

Dd1 has been very grumpy and awkward lately (for a myriad of suspected reasons) but has thankfully turned back into loving, reasonably cooperative daughter since yesterday evening.

Dd2 is holding her birthday party this evening- we've had a few "I'm just going to cancel it"s but shes been very mild by previous standards and is now out for a few hours. Phew. Just all the chores to do then (party pretty much prepared).

Hope everyone has a peaceful Saturday PM and evening.

To hopefully make you feel better Milly. Less likely to be stress than dementia. We find when DS is highly stressed we get more confused and forgetful.

Uv course could be both Milly - hope DD has a great party and the rest of you a pleasant evening

Well I've got to ask, Bluemetro, do you mean "more likely" or "less likely" to be stress. I have found myself saying exactly the opposite of what I mean recently ("does" instead of "doesn't") with no personal explanation as to how my brain can think one thing and my fingers (controlled by my brain) write something else. But it sounds more likely to be stress than dementia ... I do hope so, anyway, Milly.

Xtra, extra read all about it - parent find help from other parents. But only if you’re out there.

Is there anybody out there? In olden day’s that would have been a starter for 10. Now it is a genuine question.
