House adaptions

Does anyone know of some charitable grants people who make homes more accessible for wheelchairs?The disabled facilities grant we tried for several yrs ago now (got approved but we would have to pay the first £30k!)So we never did use them in the end- got some help through a professional union.thanks

not sure if it's of any use to you, but I had some bits done around the house through the occupational therapist.She came out to visit me, we talked about a few things that would make my life easier, and she had a few suggestions of her own I hadn't thought about (a new front door step for me as the drop on ours was quite high, made a big difference for me)
