MY ADOPTION STORY

adoptglobal August 7, 2022 21:47

First I will start by saying I have a lot of love and gratitude in my heart today as I hold my precious son in my arms. I’ve wanted to be a mother for as long as I can remember, but didn’t have the opportunity. In April of 2018, I joined Adopt Global and I was matched with a birthmother from another country . I had no idea what a whirlwind of emotions an international adoption process would be, but I was grateful for the staff at Adopt Global who helped me through the process. Finally, after not long with them, I was blessed with my son. Xavier was born October 2020, and is the greatest blessing in my life. I’m so grateful for Carol and all the staff at Adopt Global.https://adoptglobal.net/

I adopted as a closed adoption because birth mother was not comfortable revealing her pregnancy or adoptive parents to anyone. She was a student and got pregnant after party after being raped by an unknown group of boys so she decided to keep the pregnancy for a while due to academic demands and go for abortion when she is free but fortunately or unfortunately when time came for her to go for abortion, it was late and the baby resisted as she almost lost her life. She went far away from family and friends in an attempt to deliver and throw the baby someone came to her aid and convinced her to place the baby for adoption if the child has decided to live.

Today I have soo much worries and i am thinking that i need to know the mother so that i can have what to tell this child when he is of age but the adoption agency warned me of the Nondisclosure Agreements they signed with the birth mother .
