hi- do you know much about Ukraine? I am working on the basis that you dont. First of all, it is extremely corrupt- but dont let this put you off. On average, a foreigner will have to shell out about 10,000 us dollars to complete the process. Its not official, and will be done surreptiously. Some of the money goes to keeping the orphanage floating, some to the staff (because their wages are unliveable) and some to line the pockets of the rich. They do 'offer' the best available children- (sorry to sound like a supermarket but this is a fact) because foreigners mean money. You are entitle to have a look at the childs medical report - but be aware they often note things which the western world no longer considers a problem. You can have your own medical check done by your own doctor. But again be aware, everything can be bought and sold here, so try and find a doctor who comes recommended, not one who bought their university degree. Also, do not arrange for a medical until you are sure you are really really 99.9 percent sure you are taking that child. It is not a nice experience for the kid, and they should not be put through it for no reason at all.I dont know about visas and stuff, as we live here. But dont worry about language- ours came as a 2 year old and in under 1 year now speaks more English than her own language.hope that helps
