Hi everyone, We've just been approved at approval panel a couple of weeks ago and our social worker called on Friday to say we've been linked to two girls, 18 months and 6 months. SW is coming over on Tuesday to discuss and share profile and then all being well and we are comfortable with the match there is a meeting planned for the following week to meet the children's foster and social worker. we are amazed at how young they are as we always wanted young children, but come to imagine that would be unlikely. I'm sure there be adopters/ foster carers here who have experience of young children. However I'm in the process of writing some questions down for SW's. Anything critical or top tips anyone has for us to include? Thanks everyone who reads post! SIMBA01

Hi Simba01, congratulations! I'm probably a bit late for q's for SW now but I'd want to know practicalities with 2 children so close in age - ie, can the older child feed herself? Can the older child walk? Do they both nap? Things like that. I've been a foster carer to 2 children the exact same age, both non-walkers and older child only just feeding himself, and it is HARD work!! (But I'm a single carer) On the other hand those are such exciting ages as you'll get to share so many firsts... Good luck!
