I originally rang round different LAs and VAs in our area. I was impressed from the initial phone conversation with one VA, I asked a lot of questions about how the agency was funded and operated. Also they garanteed fast approval. Just 8 months later we were placed with our daughters. There isn't space here to say how much they mean to me or how lucky I feel to have them. But it was our VA who found us for them, they had been waiting a long time and we are a great match. Obviously the approval and matching process for us was super fast. Also we were automatically sent on a theraplay parenting course and they helped us to secure funding from the placing LA for some extra therapy for our eldest. knowing that we're only a phone call away from help and support if we need it is great even though we haven't needed it yet They also run free play sessions so our kids can play with other adopted children and we can talk to other parents, which I find very useful. Not sure if I'm allowed to put the name of the VA so I won't.
