wide awake club

aprilshowers August 13, 2013 02:32
Both girls not bothered to come home and not bothered to contact us, by 11.30pm I have been given a number to call and have been told that middly will answer, I ring a boy answers I don''t ask for middly I ask for littly...who went to the shop at 1pm then never came back, littly gets on the phone, I can hear middly in the background..."oh see she is not interested in me"...littly says they are camping out...wont say where they are...but I know..I have listened to phone calls and I have stalked their friends on FB...so I get DS up, get up hubby off we go...just after midnight and a long traipse across waste land and industrial units find a group, middly is there swearing and telling me she is 16 and does ot have to come home, one of the group ask are the police coming, I say yes and show them the text from the police with crime ref number...no sign of littly, middly takes off I don''t bother to chase as there is no point.Search the surrounding area, search the local streets no littly, sat here waiting for the police who will no doubt search the house garden and garage....oh for some sleep and peace.

oh I'm so sorry. They seem to do this 'camping out' quite a bit round here too. I was never told about it either. There will come a time when you will just turn over in bed and go back to sleep.Until then you do what you have to do. Try to keep them safe. But it is so difficult to cope when they are so hard to reach and seem hellbent on doing what they want. I hope you manage to get some sleep. I had to stop calling the police in the end as I was just too exhausted to go through all the waiting for them and the interviews, phone calls that come afterwards. Take care

I remember wide awake club in the 80s..... Timmy mallet wasn't it?Glad they are back.I think I generally do go back to sleep now, I pray that blossom, (or on occassion partridge), come back safe Then sleep.I carry knots in my stomach the whole time though, the longer they are missing the tighter they get.I find my medical condition causes a lot of pain the day after things are resolved. We care, actually because we live it.Pear tree

I dread to think how much time the police must spend trying to find teenagers who are not "missing" just being defiant and thinking they can do what they like! I have lost count of the number of calls to police I have made. Last time they only allocated one officer to visit us and look for her. They are getting so fed up with her! I wish they would just bring an old form rather than go through the same old questions. My AD thinks that it is OK because she does not want us to worry about her and so there is no need to call the police!! I hope things get better for you.JM x

I hope you have managed a good rest and a treat for yourself - richly deserved. I'm glad they are safe.
