Just a quick note to let you know Partrdge has PASSED his automatic driving test. Iâm ever so pleased for him because itâs taken 6 goes but heâs kept at it and at last heâs got it. Working hard for something he wanted was an alien concept for Partridge into his mid and late teens. But I think heâs started to mature just a little. Iâm not sure heâll be able to buy a car at all for some time and I have explained he must tax and insure it as well as keep it roadworthy. Maybe heâs listened to some of that.

Fantastic! Well done Partridge! I thought you meant heâd only had 6 lessons (in the other post) but itâs a big achievement to keep on going after 6 attempts and then pass. We are having those sort of discussions at the moment - that it is not just the cost of a car but insurance road tax petrol MOT repairs etc etc!!! In some ways itâs a good thing that itâs such a long term project (my son hasnât even had a single driving lesson yet - and thereâs the written test to get through too!) - as they will be so much more mature (hopefully) when they actually do become drivers!

Congratulations to Partridge! That's a great achievement (I well remember how I felt when I passed). It's amazing to hear how he persisted through all those fails. Shows strength of character.
