This is our first post here but have been reading these forums for a couple of months now. We went to panel this morning and got a unanimous YES from the panel. It took 3 minutes for them to decide!!! We want to thank all of you who have posted on here as it has helped us and what we have realised is is that we had a brilliant social worker!

Definitely still sinking in here as we were also approved this morning. Did't have a long wait either and got told our strengths were to many to list them all So happy now that is over and we are still thanking the fact we had a really good social worker.
Congrats!!Good luck with the waiting to be matched. It's no fun at all! Not as long as some people, but I've been waiting 3 months already. It's frustrating at times!

Well done on your approval!! I'm only starting out& have my preparation course in September, can I ask how long it took from your initial interest to courses to approval? U know everywhere is different but I'd love a rough idea, tia

Thank you, we have been really lucky,prep group in Dec, SW first meet in Jan Home study finished end of April. Should have gone to Panel in May but was waiting for Ofsted check, then June but DH was ill so made it in July! so happy. Read through many profiles but as yet not linked/matched. its early days but we know its important to wait for the right match. Our SW has been fantastic, and thats been a great help.[:
