Agency sent Spyware to our computer

Hello - we have been the proud parents of two wonderful siblings for 3 years now. However, during the long and tedious adoption screening process, my hubby seems to remember that our agency sent though an email with a link stating that they would install some sort of spyware on our computer to check what we were doing. Now I don't remember this, but hubby now wants to remove it, but cannot find it on the computer. I'm sure I would have remembered this - has anyone else received a similar email during their screening process, as I don't want to assume my hubby is paranoid! Thanks

Sounds quite ridiculous to me. Sorry. Even if they had sent you a link - which I find bizarre anyway - you would gave had to install it. And what would spyware tell the agency? What programs you were looking at on your PC. Wouldn't tell them anything about your parenting. Maybe your husband is confused?

That seems very bizarre. We have been foster carers for our L.A. and for an agency, and we have adopted from scratch twice and also a FC, through our own LA, and an adoption agency and a different LA. I have never heard of anything like this either actually happening, nor being mentioned on these boards or other adoption and fostering ones. It will be interesting to see if anyone else has come across this!

I think spyware is an antivirus programme, I don't think it's do with people spying on you!

I wonder if it is software to decode encryted secure information sent by e-mail from the agency?
