I must admit that when I read this I was not sure who laddy was, but have just read the other post so am assuming that laddy is a work colleague? If so YES he is overstepping the mark and no it is not YOUgoing through post, walking into bedrooms...I am speechless.Hope you get this sorted soon.Love and best wishes June

Hmmmm, I'm afraid I think you are being strung a line by a lad whose good at being economical with the truth. As on your other post on 'older adoptees' I think laddy's parents may be a PITA to him, but I think most 17 year olds would tell you similar. So is it 'horrible' step dad who has paid the 'ped insurance? Indeed, very horrible!Midge

Now Windy, you know me, as we have met more than once. Just think what I would say, and have a guess what I am thinking!!!.Taking the mick thats what I call it. I would help anyone, but if they start getting cheeky and taking liberties, I am afraid Mrs D withdraws her support.Love Darcy xx

In the long run you are doing this young man no favours by alowing him to stay with you. He needs to find a place to live, either with his family or independently. He WIll be a priority with your local council due to his age, but for him to be a priority he needs to be homeless. The best thing your hubby can do is to get him to the local council offices and make it absolutely clear that he is not staying with you any longer.Your family, and BT in particular , are your first priority.Queenie

IMHO Queenie is right. Every night you house him, he is not homeless and therefore not a priority for housing.Yes, as I said before, they are likely to put him somewhere he doesn't want to be initially, and possibly for several months, but that is how it is I'm afraid. If he has a birth dad can he not go and stay with him, if its not local, at least at weekends? Or why can birth dad not come down and sort his son out help with housing?Midge
