Not sick any more

My ds1 who came to us 5 years ago at 10 , now 15, was always physically sick about once every few weeks , in the early months.with us. Last night he told me that he has always felt sick, even though not actually been sick. ( it is something he had suffered from all during his years in care, presumably from stress, and apparently this had continued in his time with us, even though it was just feeling sick after those initial months. news is that NOW ( WAIT FOR IT ! ) he says that he longer feels sick ,just totally normal, presumably because his body has now caught with his brain knowing he is completely settled ! Fantastic news in my opinion, especially considering he is now in an exam year and is worried about doing well. At least he hasn''t that to cope with along with the rest.

That's great news. I can't imagine always feeling sick - such an awful feeling. Well done to all of you & fingers crossed for his exam year

Wow, that's a really big step and shows how physical stress/trauma can be

What lovely news, and really encouraging for me. My dd says she feels sick most of the time at school - again stress related.

That's fab - sounds like major progress for your DS. My LO used to be physically sick too when highly anxious (sometimes still is), it's distressing isn't it? Well done to that mum!
