Tough day...

DH is away all week, our PASW (who is very experienced and a great sounding board) left last week, DD1 chose last night to want to chat about complex birth family issues until very late and DD2 chose this morning to have a full meltdown before school......and then I feel like I've lost an good old friend in these boards (the current format feels like a new acquaintance, not sure yet if it will become a good friend?) I'm sure things will improve again, but today is about survival....need to find some support for DD1 and sort all the usual stuff with a very tired head on.... Bop

Sorry to hear that you've had a tough 24 hours, hope you get some space before they return from school. I've been reading the posts on the adoption social site, some good stuff there.

Hi bop It's rotten when a good prof leaves, it's scarey and lonely. Makes me feel like I wish I could resign! My phone has decided these new boards are easy. My iPad is still using the old boards! Sure it will settle in time. Pear tree

My ( fabulous ) Pasw left during the summer too, so completely get where you are coming from -wanting to draw on familiar places of support and knowing that they aren't there anymore. I guess we need to tell ourselves that the same people are still on these boards, offering the same lovely support - it's may be in a different colour and in silly bubbles - but we can still make this place work for us - right? Because we all need each other and regardless of the system, that hasn't changed. Sending much love and wishing you an easier weekend. xxxx
