anyone managed to get school transport for there child to a school not there catchment, but the next school who has more resourses and the child has a statement

I think the lea can turn down a request for transport if you have pushed for a place at a school further away than the one they wanted your child to go to. My child gets transport to school, but other children, whose parents went to tribunal to get them a place, don't - they got their place at the school but not the transport. So it's not just down to choosing the best school - if the lea can get away with it, they won't fund/provide transport.

Around here you have to prove that the nearest school can't need their needsVery hard but you can appealSuze x
