First 4 days at new school....

in Y7 and Pickle LOVES it!She is ...-telling me what she is doing - before all I got was ''boring''- coping with traveling on transport - which amazingly is only a large taxi with 3 other kids rather than a minibus - so she isn''t overwhelmed- happily doing her homework as soon as she can- already brought home a merit- adores her ( male) teacher - and as Pickle has issues with men this is no small thing.I am happy because she is, but also because the teacher is so approachable - no sense of "why are you bothering me?" and in fact when I had to phone him about a small matter, he was asking me how I felt it was going and said he had been going to phone me in a week anyway to see how I thought Pickle was.Now I just have to ask myself " why did I spend all that time worrying?" !

Fantastic to hear about both your children settling so well at their special schools. When special schools are good they really are fantastic and I can think of many youngsters in mainstream schools who are struggling and who would flourish in schools like your children attend but sadly do not qualify.
