It is that time of the week AGAIN! I have a feeling a number of you are either grateful for another Fri-YAY or not so much a yay than a Fri-NAY!
YAY: J has managed 5 days (so far) at an international performance camp with EXCELLENT feedback so far... with today and tomorrow to go! ?
NAY: Our current Spanish student was admitted to hospital with suspected appendicitis..... Apparently it isn't but been a bind on the husband this week!

Well we’ve had a pretty fabulous week. Big one still away but home briefly next week!
Dd won an award for Growth Mindset for her school year. Her secondary school are big on this and reward effort and enthusiasm as well as academic ability.
And ... tada... middly won the whole school award for growth mindset! That’s the entire secondary school. His artwork goes from strength to strength and he’s had offers from people wanting to buy his paintings. And he’s doing really well socially - off out again with mainstream friends today, into city centre on public transport, out for food etc. It’s a miracle. He’s growing up.
Sad bit ... their beloved unit head is retiring. Last day today. We’re going to miss her terribly. She’s been an inspiration to me and my kids ?

Schools out for us today. Simba is off to do an Escape Room as an early birthday treat with school friends. He is a happy bunny since I gave him a big shove and between us he managed to ask the young lady he has been pining for out on a date.
We are off tomorrow to the London Annivesary Games for two days of athletics. Then off to Wales on Monday

And ... just discovered middly has been made head boy of his unit from September! What an amazing transformation! Anyone who knows our history will know what a huge thing this is!

Fantastic news Donatella - I remember your struggles so well - that just makes their success so much sweeter - so proud of them all on your behalf! Also - Happy Birthday Simba - and well done for taking that first super risky step! (It does get easier!) - hope he has a lovely time with his friends
