Perhaps I am being very dense ( ), but there does not seems to anything new here at all as far as the passport is concerned.By this I mean, that we have been able to ask for a needs assessment since ?? 2005, we have known about priority for school admissions for some time etc. Bottom line is that there is nothing new here - nice bit of lip service paid to access to specialist CAMHS services for adopted children - none where I live. I do like the links to local VA's and LA's websites and the fact that prospectives will be able to get info from one source but what a pity that the government has chosen to still not ensure that services needed following a comprehensive assessment of Post Adoption support are not going to be a right.Jellies

I will try and contact First4 adoption but found a little glitch. On the support services section it says you can always go to AUK or BAAF for support BUT when you click on them AUK link takes you to Cheshire SS and BAAF to the South West Consortium page - umm

And call me a cynic - but yet again a no news story being released on a day when it will get lost in the bigger stories of the day - no one can say they did not realise that the rise of UKIP would be the story of the weekend - and that the Adoption Passport would get a tiny bit of news space. But then that was probably the Gov's plan, as per usual.
