Summer holiday camps

Hi there, Our 12 year old (Year 8) son is having a lot of problems at school at the moment because of his attachment issues. Over the summer, we'd love to give him a great break (and ourselves) at a summer holiday camp for a week or so. However, it would be really helpful if the camp staff really understood attachement issues and were careful about the self-esteem issues that so often get our son down. Has anyone had good experiences and could recommend something. It wouldn't need to be 'theraputic' but just able to have a great time and handle him well. We live in Oxfordshire, so something in the south/midlands would be best. Thanks, Tamlian

After Adoption run residential holidays. They may be worth looking at.

Can recommend TalkAdoption. Two years running our son has had a 2 night break with them funded by ASF. Get your skates on as they have already sent emails out about summer breaks this year. Our son can't go this year as the only suitable one geographically is when we are away on our family holiday. :-( http://www.afteradoption.org.uk/i-am-thinking-about-adoption-support/as-an-adoptive-family/support-children-young-people/talkadoption-activities/
