Holocaust thinking

Watched the very hard films from today's menorials and then an excellent prg on bbc 2 About what the survivors did after ww2. I was amazed. They all talked about the horrific trauma Several (interestingly from an adoption PoV) found it very hard indeed to be a parent because of their separation from their own parents/ families in the death camps. Some did remarkably well in terms of marriage and family. Interestingly the ones that pre ww2 had strong relationship and understanding of their own direction and parents. It made me think about our ac a lot Especially the wanting to sleep on the floor and eat with their hands... Trauma and its impact clearly did cross generations after the war. I'm thinking about how great the impact of trauma is on our ac and why when I look back there's geberations of dysfunction It makes me ask what went so very wrong in these families that started things- ?
