Hi ThereI am just starting the process of interviews with my social worker. I would love to adopt siblings but as a single adopter I am told this is highly unlikely.Does anyone have any experience of this?Olive

Hi i was approved for two children 0-6 years in Feb. Am a 43 year young single woman. Am just waiting to hear whether i have been linked to two littlies. There are a few singlies with more than one on these boards so dont give up on your dream. Best of luck Tab xx

just to say, whilst it may be 'highly unlikely' that is not impossible & if you can get approval from panel for more than one, you may actually have more options than if you only get approval for one childall the bestl

hi, i am a single adopter with 1 ad and 1 bs. i am currently been assessed again to adopt daughters sibling!!!! so yes, it can happen!!!good luck jen

Thanks it's encouraging to hear. What ages did you adopt? I'm with an agency that only deals with children over 4 years.Did your children have any severe emotional or attachment issues?

I am a single adopter and have siblings. Always said from the beginning I wanted siblings. I didn't ever contemplate just 1! Dips have been with me 2 and half years now. PM if you need anything.

I am a single adopter. My beautiful girls came to me 17 months ago aged 2 and 4. Although we certainly have our moments I would say generally they are happy, healthy children who have settled well and are doing really well in school and nursery. I feel blessed to have them and having them with me really is like a dream come true. I'm not saying I don't have days when I am tearing my hair out (I certainly do) but I adore them and we are a very happy family.Good luck with your journey and pm me if you want to know anything else.x
