Proud of junior

Junior started Primary 1 in August, and we had our first parents'' consultation on Monday this week. Soooo proud of his progress at school! He loves writing and sounds (phonics) and his teacher said he is so keen and enthusiastic. He''s also started reading and seems to be doing well. Yes he has a few emotional/social difficulties, but it is a small, caring school and they are supporting him as well as they can - and trying to be sensitive around his phobias too. I''m so glad he''s going to this small school rather than the big one in our catchment area. Yes, he misses his friends a little but I firmly believe that if he''d gone to our local school he would be really struggling instead of thriving........ And he has new friends at his school, as well as being able to see old pals after school some days, so he has the best of both worlds!
