Feature about building families through adoption

Press and PR Officer March 4, 2013 13:56
Dear All, A freelance writer who is preparing a feature for a national paper has contacted us, hoping to find adopters who made adopting their first choice in building a family. She is interested in interviewing people about their motives, dreams and the practicalities that shaped their decision and more generally about their experiences. She would particularly like to speak with adopters who made the decision not only to build a family but to do something positive for society. If you would be willing to share your story, please contact Anita by email at Anita_B---- EMAIL REDACTED ----Kind regards, Erika Pennington Press, PR & Public Affairs Manager

Do does that mean that the rest of us who adopted because we werent able to have birth children haven't done anything for society? That somehow adopting for altruistic means is superior to my wanting to adopt because I wanted to be a mother?A bit silly and frankly tasteless given that a lot of board users arrive at adoption via the infertility route.
