Hi,I thought I would share my favourite resource. It is the podcast / radio show "Creating a family" by Dawn Davenport. You can either go to www.creatingafamily.org to download the most recent shows, or go to iTunes and download/ listen to all the shows.Dawn Davenport is an expert on adoption. She is an adopter and has written a book on international adoption. Every two weeks she interviews another expert on a topic that is relevant to adoption. Topics range from effects of drug abuse during pregnancy, transracial adoption, attachment disorders, sexual development of adopted children (early puberty), transitions and pretty much anything else you can think of. Dawn is an excellent interviewer and I have learned heaps and heaps through the show. Each show is an hour long, so the topics are covered in some depth.It is an American show, but most of the topics are relevant to all of us.
