Speech and Language

My daughter came to us at 19 months with no speech and very few sounds. By two she had the speech of a 12 months old, with no real words but babbling. She started single words at about 2 years 2 months but very few, so relied heavily on makaton. About two months ago she started to join two words such as "my" and "car"She is now 2 years and 9 months and a few weeks ago she more or less woke up and started talking in sentences! She still has huge gaps of course, and still signs but just to give you an example, I have heard the following today:"Go away, mummy!" (current favourite)"DS2 kicked me, mummy!" (not strictly true!)"See daddy''s car please""My clothes now please, mummy."and much much more. She''s amazing!
