Hi my DH and I have just started our HS and already been on Prep Course which we found heavy but so needed. Really pleased with our progress at the moment and wanted to join here so I can hear everyone else''s experiences thoughout their journey to Placement.I hope to share my journey and i am sure pick up good advice for all you experts in Adoption.Thanks for taking time to reading this.sarah

Hi and welcome,Hope you find these boards as useful as I have done. My little boy was placed with me exactly 1 week ago, and is now fast asleep upstairs,having exhausted poor Mummy at the soft play centre (brilliant but it smelt of wee). Bovary

Congratualtions on your little boy. I am so excited about the process and its always great to hear people that have gone through it and got an amazing LO at the end of it.How has he settled in? I can imagine it is very tiring but it must be lovely.sarahxx

Oh yes, tiring doesn't even begin to cover it! But, he is amazing, and charms the pants off everyone he meets (even in shops and on the bus!)The posts here have been invaluable, and have helped equip me for this bit, which is really a crucial time. So soak up everything in HS, treat it not only as your assessment but also as your training and time for reflection, so you are well equipped when your time comes.Bovary
