Lo is weight bearing! She came to us at 9 months with considerable physical delays- she is now 13 months- physio started 6 weeks ago and we have been doing all as told- and it''s worked- physio was gushing over her progress! Yippee! BUT even better- she showed considerable stranger awareness and looked to me for support and permission to trust her! Was stunned as this is fairly new too!HOORAY! X

Hi, we've had to use 'hoovering' for proprioceptive feedback up her legs- hold foot and ankle at a right angle and its like you have to treat leg like a Hoover hose!!!! Along to a nursery rhyme and push upwards! Then dangle her over your thigh and encourage arm use in a crawl position and also do tummy time exercises- use of arms and so on- so on a cushion and dangle over etc- We are now on the next set of exercises as she is standing- side step encouragement and more dangling- wheelbarrow stuff to encourage the crawl! Routines for position change- sequences of where to put her legs- a high kneel into stand etc! It's not too hard and we incorporate it all into play on carpet time. Physio was stunned how fast she had progressed in 6 weeks! Yay! X
