HiWhat to expect when you are adopting - this is a great book for you at this stage. Also have a look at the adopt uk shop as they have some good ones.Best of luck

We read that book too, really good. Also there's a book called... An adoption diary its by a writer called Maria James. She tells you her story right from the start of process right up to placement of child and after. It's a really good book. Highly recommended.

I always recommend Flying Solo by Julia Wise. It's a single woman's adoption journey, but people adopting as a couple would enjoy it too, as it is a very funny, but honest, account.

I agree with others. Flying Solo is fab! I have passed this on to my family/support network to read as well. I would also recommend getting your family 'Related by Adoption'.The Adoptors Handbook (4th Edition) by Amy Neil Slater has lots of ideas for reading and organisations you can contact.
