I wanted to share a positive step for DS and would love to hear of others.

The lockdowns have been hard for DS who finds school difficult and struggles to do school at home as it doesn't feel like school. After finally managing a full week in school and seeming more settled, he had to return to home schooling for another 3 weeks due to Covid cases at school. I work from home, with DH overseeing engaging with school as much as he can. Last week he knocked on the door of the room I was working in to proudly recite a poem he had written for school about football. This was such a huge achievement and the best thing was how proud he was of doing it.

thats lovely bluemetro

simba will be 17 in a few weeks, he also found lockdown hard. he’s completed his first year of college and has done well. But he was only in 2 days a week and finished for the year 3 weeks ago so he has been very underoccupied.

He does have a Saturday job, we are on holiday and he bought fish n chips for tea with his wages

Thank you for sharing, Serrakunda27. It is good that Simba has a Saturday job and enjoyed a holiday treat as a result. Hope you enjoy the rest of your holiday.
