Virtual meetup - a chance to meet & share experiences with other parents of adopted teenagers

Friday 15th January 2021 - 7:30pm to 9:30pm

Parenting teens hosted by adoptive parents Anita and Simon.

We look forward to welcoming you to our very first nationwide Adoption UK virtual meet-up for parents of adopted teenagers.

As well as a chance to meet and share experiences with other parents, this coming Friday, we hope to discuss what you would like from this brand new AUK community group; for example, guest speakers, networking and topics of future discussion etc.

Many thanks to everyone who joined us this evening. It was wonderful to meet so many adoptive parents of teens. You gave us lots of ideas and suggestions to work on for future virtual meet-ups: education, lockdown, contact, mental health, peer to peer support and relationships to name but a few. We are sure this is going to be the start of something really special. As one parent said: "valuable support for many families that need it, but are often overlooked due to age".

Watch out for news of forthcoming virtual meet-ups.
