FASD support

Hiya everyone Our 9yr old boy has just being diagnosed with Tourette’s and Fas. Even though I’ve had suspicions for quite some time it was a shock once it was confirmed. I’m actually feeling quite tearful about it. I was wondering if anyone knew any support forums for FASD in the Yorkshire area?

Hi, Not a support group as such but I've found these podcasts really helpful http://www.oregonbehavior.com/itsabrainthing As well as the youtube videos https://www.youtube.com/c/oregonbehavior What's good about them is that they are positive, practical and helpful and give me hope! Best wishes

Hi Casey1 The following has been very helpful for us. nofas-uk.org great website, support and information, helpline fasdnetwork.org another great source of support. Has regular support groups that run in the West yorkshire area. socrates.org.uk based in Huddersfield may be able to help with speech and language and sensory integration assessments. Will also pm you to offer support. I am local to you and in a similar situation. Please don't feel isolated. There is really great support out there.
