Parents evening

little bear December 6, 2018 21:50
Parents evening tonight for our middle AD in year 10. You know how they can be, and last year's for her was particularly poor: messing about, cheeky, distracted, nothing major but lots and lots of low level poor behaviour. We went this evening not really knowing what to expect... and it was immensely positive: working hard, pleasure to have in the class, really applying herself. #proudmum

Great news! it would be interesting to know if you understand what has caused the change in her behaviour? Does she feel safer, self esteem been boosted, supportive teachers etc?

Thanks all. Interesting question Callie about why it is better. I think it is partly just being that bit more mature, but also now she's in Year 10 she has been able to pick her options and the school offer a lot of vocational options - so she is doing sport, food tech etc. which she enjoys, and feels she is better at, than the more academic stuff.
