Hi all sorry if this has already been covered but would like to know if age you chose before panel stayied same or did panel approve for different age child And does panel say how many children they feel u could manage for example one/two Thanks

Yes, panel dropped the bottom end of our age request !

Our Panel endorsed the SW report of age and 2 siblings. We'd had our conversations with the SW prior and adjusted our thoughts so it was all prett clear by the time of panel.

I think if you then consider an older / younger child than the one you have been approved for this can then go to panel to extend the range - this would apply if you considered more than the number approved for too. I presume the age change is more straightforward than the change in number of children - you would have to look at this with your SW and then make a case I presume

I thought the panel just made a recommendation and that once your approved your approved for any 'appropriate match' social workers and matching panel IRO make that decision? Approval panel recommended I adopt 1 child- I went on to adopt 2
