Signs of increased maturity

Milly September 8, 2013 13:51
My 8 year old can get very angry and aggressive when she is upset and has always found it hard to back down and calm down (at home anyway, ) when she is in the wrong. She has begun apologising to me but won't to older dd - its as if she blames her even when its not in any way older dd's fault. Well yesterday, typical incident when tired - both dds and I were watching tv on one sofa. During an ad break dd1 and I got up and left the room - cue dd2 lying the full length of the sofa and refusing to budge when dd1 came back, she also kicked dd1. I told her off and she stormed off only to return a short while later with a sorry letter for me AND when prompted, apologised in a genuine way to.dd1. Amazing!!!

Apologising genuinely to her sister sounds like a big step ..... and did you frame the 'sorry' letter?! ;)
