Opportunity to take part in a research study

Online Community Team December 15, 2011 13:33
Good Afternoon,Would any message board users be interested in participating in a research study on adoptive family life? The research is headed by Professor Susan Golombok, Director of the Centre for Family Research, at the University of Cambridge. They are looking for LGBT adopters with an adopted child aged between 4-8 years old (although they are also open to families with younger children as they can see them much later on when their child turns 4).As well as using this research to learn more about the role of fathering and mothering in children''s psychological development, Professor Susan Golombok hopes the study will help adoptive families and those who work with them in the future. BAAF are very keen for this research to be carried out, and intend to disseminate the findings to all those who work with gay and lesbian adopters. It is also hoped that the results can be used to inform policy makers and the public more broadly about diversity in family life.If you are interesting in taking part in this study, please contact Laura Mellish, Research Assistant, at ---- EMAIL REDACTED ---- .Best wishesOnline Community TeamAdoption UK
