Building support network with other adopters

Hi All,I am a female single adopter who has had my LO at home for 5 weeks now. It was initially a huge shock and lifestyle adjustment and the support of other adopters was enormously valueable to me. I am now very content with my new life but would like to continue building my support network. I am looking for any single (or married) adopters in the South Devon area who would like to build their support network and meet up for play dates.Best wishes,Melodie

I am not in your area at all but found we didn't keep up with people from prep group - don't know why. However about 10 days ago I rang the LA's Post Adoption Support line (we didn't adopt through them) and they told me about a group locally (very locally in fact) and although I can't make the time (should have sorted myself out on adoption leave of course) they rang one of the members who lives even closer and has a little boy almost exactly the same age as ours.So perhaps Post Adoption Support are useful for something! We're going round for a playdate in a couple of weeks time, just two mums and two tots, which is perfect for us.
