It looks like the adoptees involved were adopted in the 1950s/60s? It’s likely there’d be a higher incidence now I would’ve thought - given the link between mental health of birth parents and the high incidence of adverse childhood experience in adoptees. As the article says a large number of psychiatric conditions have a genetic component and this is oven triggered by adverse experiences
