scanned it briefly and it mentions new website due to be completed summer 2009 - has this been delayed? & do we have new expected date or have I missed it (quite possible with my it skills!)otherwise seems ok to me, no expert, but did like list of partnership organizations, especially the las on list working in partnership with aukl

Anyone else looked at it yet ?

I've skimmed through it very quickly - here is what I notedpage 8 "increase the number of sucessful adoptive placements" - I would like to see something about quantify & analyse the reasons for disruptions as there doesn't seem to be figures for this.page 9 "parent-led" not sure this is true - much more professional management approach which I don't really have a problem with.the main thing that jumped out at me is on page 25 - income from regional development at £402k and is the largest source of income. The biggest component of this is service level agreements with local authorities at £228k which I have expressed opinions about in other threads. Lots of opportunity here for conflict of interest I think.filmbuff

Still have trouble downloading but thankfully another adopter freind printed it off for me. Hmm, some interesteing reading.I presume that those attending the AGM will get a nice glossy/printed version of this as they walk through the door ? Yet again, no time to read and or highlight things to be clarified at the AGM.I do get cross about dh's junkpost you know the agm/annual reports of this mutual biulding society/ fly fishing guild etc but I am astonished that yet again, nothing has come through the post from AUK and again, if you do not attend the AGM or use the website, as members of this organisation, you don't get to see it.

Sorry, just wanted to add that this is not just the accounts /financial statement but also the trustees annual report.

Can I ask something that may be a really stupid question?You talk about service agreements between LAs and AUK and I've noticed that my LA has a link to AUK to provide support. My LA has no support group for adopters - apparently I'm the only adopter in my area who's ever mentioned it - which I find hard to believe. But given that my LA provide sod all in the way of support should they not be paying for my membership to AUK?

assuming you've already contacted your la over what support they offer donatella, but have you contacted auk to ask what is in their agreement, as it could be just providing info for potential adopters & perhaps auk need to work with la to provide more comprehensive supportl

Thank you Lonsdale. I will try and find out. Certainly our LA do nothing - I've spoken with them. A few times actually recently about middly but apparently given that he's so young they don't feel it appropriate for them to become involved in any way!

Have saved this, but on a skimmed read, why did we not get this lot earlier???. This takes some absorbing on a first read. Erm....Love Darcy and Mr D xx
